Prayer Gathering for Tenzin Delek Rinpoche

Tibetan community members gathered at the Thomas Jefferson Library to hold prayer for Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, who mystriously died in prison while serving a life sentence. Tenzin Delek Rinpoche was a highly revered Tibetan lama who built schools and advocated for envrionmental protection in Kham area. He was impriosoned on trumped up charges, tortured for twelve years in prison and denied medical care after repeated request from family members and supporters throughout the world. He died a Tibetan hero.
