Office of Tibet (DC) and CATA host event for Chinese Tibet supporters

The Office of Tibet (DC) and the Capital Area Tibetan Association (CATA) co-organized an evening reception for Chinese Tibet supporters from the DC area. Among the attendees were prominent democracy figures such as Chen Guangcheng, Zhao Xiyeng, and Wi Xingren. Following speeches from the Office of Tibet, CATA, and Chinese guests, attendees enjoyed Tibetan cultural performances followed by a Tibetan dinner.

CATA would like to thank the local Tibetan community for their support and participation in this event. We would also like to thank the cultural performances presented by former members of Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (from NYC) and our own local talent of Tibetan performers.
