Celebrating His Holiness' the Dalai Lama's Birthday @ the US Capitol

On Tuesday, June 27th, the Office of Tibet and International Campaign for Tibet jointly hosted a reception to celebrate His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 82nd Birthday. Members of the CATA community were excited to be among the 300+ crowd and participate in this very significant event.

The inaugural reception was held at the US Capitol Building and speakers included dedicated Tibet supporters such as Leader Nancy Pelosi, Jim Sensenbrenner, Congressman Jim McGovern, Congresswoman Ros Lehtinen and, ICT Chairman, Richard Gere. Office of Tibet Representative Penpa Tsering and ICT president Matteo Mecacci facilitated the event and introduced each of the acclaimed speakers.

The speakers all voiced their strong and unwavering support for Tibet and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The guests enjoyed the beautifully prepared food and meeting up with friends and longtime Tibet supporters on this joyous and auspicious occasion.
