On the evening of May 24th, CATA hosted a reception and potluck dinner for the President of the Central Tibetan Administration, Lobsang Sangay la. The event was hosted at the offices of the International Campaign for Tibet and included a talk by the Sikyong, followed by a Question & Answer period, and then dinner with the community. On May 21st, CATA held a prayer service for the late Jamyang Losel of Chentsa County, Malho Prefecture, who had succumbed to his burns from self-immolation. The prayer service was held at Drikung Dharma Surya Center (DDSC). ATA would like to thank Khenpo Samdrup la for kindly allowing the CATA community to use the DDSC prayer hall on such short notice. Thank you to Khenpo Samdrup la and all who attended. Please continue praying for those we have lost through self-immolation.

CATA held a member-wide meeting on Saturday, May 6, 2017 to review the final draft of the revised CATA By-laws, as prepared by the By-Law Redrafting Committee. The Redrafting Committee members are Jeshong Lobsang Tsultrim la, Nima Binara la, Buchung Tsering la, Namgyal Shastri la and Lobsang Yeshi la.
